The word "Please"

You know what word I found myself liking today? The word "please". Why, you might ask? I like the word because it can be polite and rude at the same time or it can be sad or angry. It can be nonchalant or full of loaded meaning. Sometimes it's sarcastic and sometimes "please" is used in jest. It is a word that parents teach their children to say to get what then want or need. It is a word that a parent utters in prayer to let her child survive a life-threatening illness (Yes, I did just read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult). It is a word someone yells in frustration to get a noise/disturbance/annoyance to stop.

I like the versatility of please. I like the simplicity of having one word to convey so much meaning and emotion, all in the way you say "please".
